Godrej Hitweed Maxx is a powerful herbicide that targets a wide range of grassy weeds, broadleaf weeds, sedges, and others. This herbicide can be used as a post-emergent application, making it flexible for farmers. Godrej Hitweed Maxx herbicide has a selective action, which means it does not attack crops like cotton and ensures cleaner as well as healthy yield.
Key Features and Benefits of Godrej Hitweed Maxx Herbicide:
Broad-Spectrum Protection: Godrej Hitweed Maxx is a broad-spectrum herbicide that protects crops from narrow- and broad-leaf weeds.
Selective Action: This herbicide's active chemicals provide selective protection to the crops and only target harmful weeds.
Higher Yields: Godrej Hitweed herbicide eliminates weeds that compete for nutrients with the crops and ensures better crop growth.
Residual Control: Godrej Hitweed Maxx herbicide leaves behind a trail of residue that forms a protective layer over the soil, preventing other weeds from germinating.
Hitweed Maxx Herbicide Uses:
Godrej Hitweed Maxx Herbicide is effective against a wide mix of grasses, broadleaves, and some sedges in cotton:
Broadleaf Weeds Controlled: Digera arvensis, Amaranthus viridis, Trianthema portulacastrum, Portulaca oleracea, Commelina benghalensis, Euphorbia hirta, Boerhavia diffusa, Parthenium hysterophorus
Grassy Weeds Controlled: Echinochloa colona, Digitaria sanguinalis, Cynodon dactylon, Eleusine indica, Dactyloctenium aegyptium
Sedges (Partial Control): Cyperus rotundus, Cyperus iria
Recommended For: Cotton (BT and non-BT varieties)
Hitweed Maxx Dosage:
Apply Godrej Hitweed Maxx Herbicide as a post-emergence spray at the recommended dose. Timing is critical for good weed control and crop safety.
Crop | Target Weeds | Dose / Acre | Per Litre | Per 15L Pump |
Cotton | Grasses, Broadleaves, Sedges | 300–400 ml | 1.5–2 ml | 22–30 ml |
Water Volume: Use 150 to 200 litres of water per acre for uniform coverage.
Pump dose: Use 22 to 30 ml per 15-litre knapsack pump for general application.
Application Timing: 20 to 30 days after sowing (DAS) — when cotton is established, and weeds are at 2 to 4-leaf stage.
How to Use Godrej Hitweed Maxx Herbicide:
Check the cotton field to see the weed size — 2 to 4-leaf stage is the right time to spray herbicide.
Wear gloves and a face mask before opening the bottle.
Shake the bottle well and measure the required quantity using a marked cup or syringe.
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and pour in the measured product slowly.
Add the remaining water and stir until the solution looks uniform.
Use a flat-fan nozzle for herbicide application — never a hollow-cone insecticide nozzle.
Spray evenly over the cotton field, without going over the same area twice.
Do not spray on windy days to avoid the spray drifting onto nearby broadleaf crops.
Best Time to Apply:
Spray Godrej Hitweed Maxx Herbicide at the early post-emergence stage — 20 to 30 days after sowing, when cotton has established and grassy and broadleaf weeds are at the 2 to 4-leaf stage and actively growing. Late afternoon or early evening is the best window, when leaf temperature is cooler, and weed absorption is stronger. Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours.
Frequency of Application and Re-entry Period:
Frequency: Only 1 post-emergence spray per cotton cycle — do not repeat the same herbicide in the same season.
Re-Entry Period: Wait 24 hours after spraying Hitweed Maxx Herbicide before re-entering the treated field without protective clothing.
Compatibility: It is best used stand-alone. Do NOT tank-mix with insecticides, fungicides, or fertilizers as it may reduce herbicide activity or damage the crop. Always use a separate sprayer dedicated for herbicide use.
Safety, Precautions and Handling:
Wear full protective clothing including hand gloves, face mask, and goggles before handling.
Avoid eating, drinking, and smoking during the entire mixing and spraying operation.
Spray only in calm weather conditions to avoid drift and inhalation.
After application, change clothes and take a bath with soap and clean water.
Keep the product label handy and contact a physician immediately in case of any exposure or ingestion.
